Report: Russia’s Rosatom unit may start precious metals devt abroad
MOSCOW, Apr 13 (PRIME) -- Uranium One, part of Russian state nuclear power corporation Rosatom, plans to start developing non-ferrous and precious metals in other countries in order to diversify the business, CEO Vasily Konstantinov told newspaper Vestnik Atomproma in an interview published Wednesday.
“According to our analysis, copper, gold, platinum group metals look the most attractive of all. One of our advantages is that we can use the competence accumulated in uranium development through underground leaching in development of non-uranium fields. In this case, we will learn other methods of minerals development,” Konstantinov said.
